Remember the time when your mother told you that the vegetables are good for you? Well, she is right! Vegetables are full of vitamins (e.g. vitamin C, B etc.), anti-oxidants, fibre and minerals. They are necessary for your body and keep you in good health.

Vegetables come in all sizes, shapes and colours. There are green ones, such as kale, spinach, broccoli, lettuce, green beans, lady fingers, cabbage, Chinese cabbage, cucumber, green bell pepper, peas, leeks, bok choy, mint and celery.

The colourful ones are tomatoes, yellow and red capsicum, carrots, red chilli, onions, red skinned potatoes, red cabbage, radishes, potatoes, eggplant, cauliflower, garlic, ginger, turnip, parsnip, mushroom, yam and pumpkin.

There are many ways to eat the vegetables, i.e. raw (salad or smoothie), sautéed, with sauces (such as curry, chilli, olive oil, vinegar) or cook them with meat or seafood. These are delicious, nutritious and good for digestive system.

Many of these colourful vegetables make our meals colourful, flavourful and appetising.

Please share if you have any yummy 😋 recipes on how to cook these vegetables and/or complement your meals. 😃
